Officials have issued a warning about a new danger at a popular state park at the Jersey Shore.
Large holes have formed along a rocky concrete walkway at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. The holes are six to eight feet deep and at least three feet wide.
"What’s happening is the ocean is undermining. It’s coming under the rocks and it’s undermining the sand that’s just been piling up there, and it's creating a pretty hazardous situation,” says Bob Selfridge, with Barnegat Light First Aid and Fire Company.
