Crews in Monmouth County are working to repair a water main break overnight.

Repairs are taking place on Joseph Drive, in a Middletown neighborhood in the Lincroft section.

New Jersey American says work should be complete by 7 a.m. on their website.

The water company says people in this area may have discolored or cloudy water, low water pressure or no water.

They say when work is completed, there may be temporary changes in the water. For discoloration, run cold water at the lowest level of your house. For cloudy water, run water at the highest level of your house. Conditions should clear after 3 to 5 minutes of running water.

Right now, there is no known cause, but weather could be a contributing factor in these situations.
