Police are searching for two men on a moped who they say robbed another moped rider in Concourse Village.
Detectives said it happened Sunday, Sept. 14 around 2:30 p.m. near Clay Avenue and East 167th Street.
Police said the robbers approached the 31-year-old victim, stole his black 2025 Flywing moped, then rode away on both mopeds along East 167th Street.
One of the men was last seen wearing a black facemask and dark clothing. The other man was wearing a black t-shirt and black pants.
Residents said a robbery in broad daylight is nothing new.
“It’s the new New York,” said Allen Parks, of Concourse Village. “Sorry. It’s the new New York.”
“The world today is crazy, man,” said Rob Wells, of Concourse Village. “You have to sit there and you have to protect yourself at all times. It’s not just here. It’s everywhere.”
The victim was not hurt during the incident.
Police ask any information to give them a call.
