Iris Seda of Bridgeport has a simple dream – for her dad to live at home with her. But her simple dream is facing a complicated reality.
"If he's going to come home from the care facility, I'm going to need to get a Hoyer lift and a wheelchair ramp – but his insurance won't pay for either, and I certainly can't afford them," Iris told News 12 Sunday.
She's started a GoFundMe to help with the effort.
"My dad is 75 and he's recovering from the long-term effects of a heart attack and a stroke. Plus, he has Parkinson's," she said.
"All he wants is live out his days at home with me," she said. "Not sure that's going to happen."
