One year after 17-year-old Sincere Campbell was fatally shot near his home in Soundview, his family continues to demand answers.

Campbell’s family told News 12 that a man bumped into the teen and there was an argument. A group of men can be seen on surveillance video before the shots rang out.

The family honored Campbell on Sunday, marking the one-year anniversary with a memorial and balloon release.

The teen was only two weeks into his senior year of high school.

His mother, Ana Vega, said Campbell was her only child who had dreams of graduating and becoming an engineer for the MTA. She said it feels as if the shooting happened yesterday – and she’s frustrated because she’s still looking for answers from police.

“No leads,” Vega said. “No updates. I still get the runaround. Sometimes I have to go to the precinct to get an answer. I’m very angry. I’m very upset. I’m hurt. I’m bothered.”

News 12 reached out to the NYPD for an update. A spokesperson said, “No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
