Big Blue is back at home for the first time this season, and fans are hungry for that first win.
Tailgaters lined up hours before kickoff, hoping for a victory against the reigning AFC champs, the also-winless Kansas City Chiefs.
The home opener is full of fanfare, but the Giants haven’t given their faithful too much to cheer about. They have only won two of their last nine home openers.
After last week’s heartbreaker against the Cowboys, the Giants need a win to stave off the questions about job security for the coaching staff and key players.
It also presents a chance to rain on the Chiefs’ parade, a team that has enjoyed a run of dominance for much of the past decade and features household names and celebrity fans.
The Chiefs haven't played the Giants at MetLife Stadium since November 2017 - a game the Giants won in overtime 12-9.
