A water main break this morning in Livingston is leading to partial disruptions in the operations of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
This water main break is on Old Short Hills Road, which is the main road that runs along the hospital.
Despite the incident, the medical center is still operational but has had to postpone or cancel some surgical procedures and outpatient services.
The emergency department remains open, however, it is currently diverting ambulances to other nearby facilities to manage patient flow effectively.
The hospital is in close coordination with the City of Livingston, Essex County, and the Department of Health to ensure the facility's safety and to mitigate the impact of this event.
It is unknown at this time when repairs will be completed.
