The streets of Tarrytown will be packed this weekend as thousands of people head to the village's annual Halloween Parade and Block Party.
Local officials are urging visitors to leave their cars at home and take Metro-North to avoid traffic gridlock.
"If you're coming from the north, you can go to Peekskill, Ossining or Croton," said Mayor Karen Brown. "If you're coming from the south, go to Yonkers, Hastings, Dobbs Ferry or Irvington — you can enjoy a meal in these communities before or after."
The parade begins at 5 p.m. Saturday at Patriots Park.
