A massive manhunt is underway to find the person connected to a deadly shooting in Rockland County. Yesterday news twelve's Diane Caruso has the latest details. This is Yandy Martinez, the face, the tattoos hatra police want you to look for but to also note he may be armed and dangerous. The 18 year old is the suspected killer of 29 year old Christian Alvarado of Pomona who was shot and killed while driving down Fairmont Avenue, whoever was in the car was there. Julio Ortiz is the super for the apartment building where shots rang out outside around four pm. Monday in broad daylight. I've been running this building for 44 years. Never anything like that. Police say the suspect's last known address is within Hatra. We're not going to stop until we can get him into custody. We're told by police it was not a random attack and there was some sort of altercation beforehand. This was still very dangerous because shots were fired in a very crowded downtown area and anybody could have possibly gotten hit by a stray as law enforcement works to find and arrest Martinez locals have faith in authorities. A final farewell this evening for a man shot and killed and have a straw visitation for 29 year old Christian Alvarado taking place at the TJ mcgowan and son's funeral home in Garner Alvarado was found lying on the ground next to a vehicle that had crashed into a parked car on Fairmont Avenue. Witnesses are speaking out about a shooting in Haverstraw that left one person dead news twelve's Jade. Nash joins us from the scene with reaction from witnesses. Good evening, Jade. Good evening everyone. That's right. We're joining you from near West Street and Fairmont Avenue. This afternoon, this residential neighborhood turned into a crime scene that resulted in the death of 29 year old Christian Alvarado of Pomona. Police are now searching for answers and the alleged shooter. The transition from neighborhood to crime scene began around 4 p.m. when Havers Shaw's police chief, John Gold says the department got multiple calls about shots fired in the area. Our units responded on scene. We found a vehicle that was crashed opposite nine Fairmont Avenue. The driver who was then on the sidewalk on the ground which he suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Gould says responders treated the man for his injuries on scene before he was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead while they're still in the fact finding process. Gould says their initial investigation led them to this determination. The victim was operating a vehicle and he was struck by gunfire while operating the vehicle and then ultimately crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle. According to the chief, it's unclear at this time why this man was being shot at in the first place. However, one man who lives on Fairmont Avenue says he saw some of the incident play out. No, it was just sitting here on the porch. I heard the shot right there on the corner and we saw the car spin down and crash right there. This motivated his daughter to run over and check things out. I didn't touch the car. I saw him over so I try to do all of the commotion, made another neighbor nearby. Scream according to her dad, everybody get everybody. So and are you shocked by this or what is your reaction? Now, as you can see that man and many others in the area are left speechless by what happened. Now, police tell me they did find some shell cases in the area but no gun. And tonight the search for the suspect does continue. However, if you do have information, police are encouraging you to give them a call and have strong Jad Nash news. 12.
