And a state of emergency is currently in place in Westchester County. Governor Kathy Hochle says more than 1600 utility workers have been added to help our region. More than 3000 Department of Transportation workers are available across the state. Officials urge you not to drive over any downed power lines and make sure you and your family are prepared for flooding or power outages. We heard Caterina talking about it a little. A bit ago and when it comes to orange and rock and utilities, well, they are working very hard this morning to handle any power outages because of the storm. Joining us right now is Vito Signorelli, who is with ONR. Good morning to you, sir. Thank you so much for joining us. Let's talk about the current conditions when it comes to customers, when you think they're going to get power back on and what you're most concerned about today. Sure. Well, the, the number one thing we're concerned about is certainly weathering the rest of the storm. You know, we expect this to linger around the area at least through the early afternoon hours. So, um, you know, our crews remain mobilized. They are out in the field, um with regards to outages that are still. you know, we ask customers to please refer to ORU.com. The outage map estimated restoration times are available on that map, and we, we remain, uh, you know, vigilant in the field, ready to respond to any additional outages that may occur as the storm lingers. All right, talk to us about what your crews are telling you from the scene in the OR area that covers the Hudson Valley and what they have described the conditions to be like out there this morning. Sure. Well, obviously the overnight hours were a little significant in terms of this portion of the storm. Uh, we're seeing a lot of downed trees. Uh, the, the winds have had a severe impact in the service area. The wind gusts were very strong, so, um, our crews are definitely seeing trees along the roads down on power lines. And the one thing that we can encourage. Customers to do that. If you do see this in your neighborhood, please stay away from these power lines. Um, you know, don't don't anticipate that, uh, the wires are dead. Uh, they're likely still energized. So if you see these in your neighborhood neighborhood, definitely stay away, uh, and please contact Orange and Rockland so that we can respond to the scene if we haven't already. The storm has been widespread throughout the Hudson Valley. Rockland County also has trees down, so let's get right to Clarkstown town supervisor George Holman to talk about the problems in your area. Thank you for being with us. Well, good morning, Lisa, and happy to be with you. Um, you know, the, um, we've had a couple of incidents here in Clarkstown, according to Orange and Rockland, we have about 245 people still out of power as of about 8 o'clock this morning in Rockland. Uh, we have about 125 are out of power in Clarkstown. 77 of those are because of a downed tree on Birchwood Terrace in Upper Nyack. And then we have about 59 people that are out of power due to some other down trees across, um, across the town, primarily up in the Nannuwe area. We have a couple of roads that have been impacted just recently. Casper Hill and Crusher Road over in Valley Cottage, there's some down tree. Uh, there's also um uh uh hanging branches and a leaning tree on Pineview in Bardonia. Uh, other than that, we haven't had a lot of uh flooding, you know, um, We were expecting up to 3 inches. We obviously didn't get that, but um uh we got well over 1 inch so far. Uh, and, um, so there was some ponding and so we'll be watching that. And we just encourage people to stay away from down wires and be very, very careful. I heard Lisa, uh, you know, um, you know, LaRocca saying earlier about the, the, uh, leaves. You know, the leaves were still up in the trees, and with these heavy winds and the rain, they're now on the ground and crews haven't been able to get out and clean them up. So it's very, very, very slick. Uh, with those leaves, so just be very careful, you know, it is, uh, Columbus Day, so, you know, if you don't have to be out in this mess, uh, stay home and, uh, our crews are out and about addressing these issues.
