Police identify person of interest in University of Bridgeport shooting
Bridgeport police have identified a person of interest in the shooting at the University of Bridgeport Tuesday.
Dylan Cruz-Tillery, 18, of Queens, is wanted for questioning.
Police say the isolated shooting happened inside the Marina Dining Hall shortly after 6 p.m.
Officials say the shooting happened after a fight between Cruz-Tillery and another person over a young woman.
The pair were guests who were visiting campus.
They were allowed to be in the dining hall because the school is an open campus.
        Classes resumed Wednesday.
Police say the scene is secure, and students and staff are safe. Officials say there are no threats to the university at this time, but students who spoke with News 12 say they feel uneasy.
"Kind of gets me a little shaken up," said freshman Morgan Johnson.
Police believe a fight led to gunfire at Marina Dining Hall. One person was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. Police say the person was alert and speaking with detectives.
Police believe the shooter knew the victim.
"Honestly, it's a little nerve-racking, you know, just hearing something like that can happen and how close it was," said Johnson.
"I'm freaked out right now to come here, like but it's safe right now they say," said freshman Safwan Alnayef. "Kind of freaked out, but let's see it will get better."
