Nicholas Thompson, the CEO of AI, served as the event's keynote speaker and moderated a panel on the impact of AI in education and the workforce. Thompson says despite the pros and cons, AI will ultimately alter how students in the future learn.

Stamford event addresses how AI will transform education and the workforce 

Nicole Baumgarth, with John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, says last May, there was a 30% increase in emergency room visits for tick-borne illness compared to the previous year. She says this is due to a warming climate and an expanding tick population.

Earlier this month, The New York Islanders said the affiliate team would move to Canada for the start of the 2026-2027 season, pending approval. The team had been in Bridgeport since 2001, first as the Sound Tigers before becoming the Islanders in 2021.

Jabari Bush is charged in the shooting death of 41-year-old Terrence Cramer, who was shot around 2 a.m. Saturday on Feeley Street in Stratford. Cramer had served as a Bridgeport firefighter for nearly 10 years.
