        Police: 64-year-old Stamford man dies after being struck by a front-end loader

        Police said it happened around 8:13 a.m., and that the man was pronounced dead at Stamford Hospital.

        Police: 64-year-old Stamford man dies after being struck by a front-end loader
        A 64-year-old man died after being struck by a front-end loader outside a private business on Wednesday, according to Stamford police.
        Police said it happened around 8:13 a.m., and that the man was pronounced dead at Stamford Hospital.
        They said the man was working and assisting a customer at the time he was hit.
        The front-end loader was being operated by a 28-year-old, also from Stamford, according to officials.
        The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad and OSHA are investigating.
        Police said they will release more information once the victim's next of kin has been informed.
