Village of Nyack officials announced the water system did not meet treatment requirements in January.

Tests showed no bacteria, but on multiple days, the water lacked full disinfectant treatment.

No immediate action is required for residents.

However, people with weakened immune systems, babies, and the elderly should consult their doctors. Nyack Water is working with the health department to resolve the issue.
