        An impassioned plea was made at the State Capitol to ban Connecticut companies from producing lethal injection drugs.
        Lisa Brown, whose son Christopher was executed in Texas using a drug made in Connecticut, shared a heart-wrenching account of his final moments. "There were tears in his eyes as he turned his head to look at me, as he was dying," she said. Brown's son took 28 minutes to die.
        A new bill has been proposed to prohibit companies from selling products used in the death penalty. However, the Connecticut Hospital Association has expressed concerns that this law could lead to shortages of essential therapeutic drugs.
