Police say a cab driver was shot and critically injured in The Bronx.
A 911 caller reported a person shot on Nelson Avenue around 4:37 p.m. Monday, according to police.
Police say a dispute happened and the cab driver ordered the suspect out of the car, but he did not comply and they got into a fight.
The suspect then shot the cab driver in the abdomen, according to police. The cab driver has been identified as Alusine Barrie.
A person of interest was taken into custody about 15 minutes after police arrived. Police arrested Joseph Meeks, 76, and charged him with attempted murder.
The driver is expected to be OK.
