A Hurley woman has pleaded guilty to two counts of animal torture after authorities found dozens of dogs living in harmful conditions.
Nicole Bagg-Atta, 53, admitted to keeping 43 dogs without proper shelter, food or water, according to the Ulster County District Attorney's Office.
Police discovered the animals during two search warrants executed in July and August 2022.
Bagg-Atta was on the run for two years before being returned on a warrant in February.
She is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
