The first major snowstorm of 2025 came through the Garden State on Monday, bringing nearly a foot of snow to parts of the state.

The storm mainly impacted South Jersey, with towns like Cape May and Ocean City picking up 8 and 7 inches of snow respectively.

Forecasters say that New Jersey will now have to deal with frigid temperatures for the remainder of the week.

"I have like three layers on. I have like two sweatshirts, couple of shirts, couple of scarves,” says Rochelle Glover, of Hamilton.

Major roadways were clear of snow by Monday evening, but local roads did still have some snow that was expected to ice over in the overnight hours.

For some New Jersey residents, what’s even more irritating than the freezing weather is people who can't quite drive in it.

“I’ve seen plenty of people spinning and just driving stupid,” says John Shaw, of Hamilton.

The rest of the week is expected to be free of snow. But the News 12 Storm Watch Team is tracking the potential for a second storm this weekend.
