The high school students say the road and intersection right outside East Rockaway Junior Senior H.S. is dangerous for both drivers and pedestrians.

6ds agoEast Rockaway H.S. students are taking action to try and improve safety conditions along Ocean Avenue.
They say the road lacks proper curbs and sidewalks in some sections, and that it is dangerous for pedestrians and drivers alike.
Some students also say they have been nearly struck by cars while attempting to cross the street at stop signs right in front of the school.
A class project has turned into an online petition, asking for the village and other officials to make improvements to the busy roadway.
