Concerns are growing about the proposed expansion of the Iroquois Pipeline Company, which would double the size of fracked gas compressor stations, potentially increasing the risk of explosions.
The company is seeking an air quality permit from the DEC, but activists and lawmakers are pushing back.
Tonight at 7 p.m., a rally is planned at Kingston City Hall to oppose the expansion.
This comes ahead of a city council meeting where lawmakers are expected to pass a resolution urging Gov. Kathy Hochul to stop the pipeline expansion.
