In Bergen County, officials are warning residents about two recent bear sightings.
The first was in Glen Rock, where a black bear was caught on video Sunday morning appearing to search for food from a bird feeder.
The second sighting happened in Oakland, where police say a mother bear and her three cubs were seen roaming the south end of town.
Authorities are reminding residents to stay calm if they see a bear, avoid approaching—especially the cubs—and not to leave food outside.
If you encounter a bear while walking or hiking, make noise, stay upright, and slowly back away.
