        CDC: 39 sickened in E. Coli outbreak linked to organic carrots

        The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says five residents in both states are among 39 people sick nationwide.

        Health officials say several people from New York and New Jersey have been infected by an E. Coli outbreak linked to organic carrots.
        The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says five residents in both states are among 39 people sick nationwide. Fifteen have been hospitalized and one person has died.
        Organic whole bagged carrots and baby carrots sold by Grimmway Farms have been recalled due to the outbreak.
        Health officials say the carrots are no longer available at stores but may still be inside some homes.
