        Officials: 6 displaced from overnight Bridgeport fire

        A mayday was called because a firefighter was hit by building debris. They were evaluated at St. Vincent's Medical Center and released back to full duty.

        Six adults have been displaced following a fire in Bridgeport Sunday, officials say.
        It happened on Capitol Avenue around 4:30 a.m.
        Firefighters discovered the fire in the back of the two-story home according to authorities.
        During that time, a mayday was called because a firefighter was hit by building debris. They were evaluated at St. Vincent's Medical Center and released back to full duty.
        Everyone inside was able to safely evacuate and are being relocated with help from the Red Cross.
