St. Patrick's Day brings corned beef and cabbage to Hudson Valley tables, and News 12's Lisa LaRocca got tips from Yonkers' McLean Avenue, dubbed the Emerald Mile.
Local butcher Ollie Charles at The Butcher's Fancy said, "Everybody in the world is Irish on St. Patrick's Day."
He noted Ireland's traditional dish is bacon and cabbage, adding, "It tastes like ham a bit."
Ollie sells both, along with other Irish meats. And shared a simple recipe for News 12 viewers.
Ollie recommends finishing with a Guinness, saying, "That's the perfect St. Patrick's Day."
The party continues Saturday with the Yonkers St. Patrick's Day Parade at 1 p.m.
