The Montebello Commons Senior Club gathered on Wednesday night to celebrate the 100th birthday of World War II veteran Sidney Sachs.
While his actual birthday was on April 28, organizers said they planned the party to keep the festivities going and celebrate his long life.
Sachs said he's served in many roles over the years.
He spent time working as an accountant, flew biplanes and built bridges and airfields attached to the 873rd Engineer Aviation Battalion.
He says some of his most important moments include his marriage and the birth of his kids and grandkids.
News 12 asked him what living for 100 years feels like.
"It feels no different than when I was 90," Sachs said. "You see the good with the bad."
State Sen. Bill Weber also attended the party to present him with a proclamation.
