A woman accused of murder has been using fake names and disguises to stay on the run from police for nearly a year and a half after a homicide in Jamesport, police said.

In an update to the case today, Suffolk County police identified the suspected killer as Majorie Quarrie, also known as Nicola Watson. Officials said Quarrie stabbed Conrad Gowan, 36, in the neck inside his home at 448 Herricks Lane on March 4, 2024, just before midnight.

The home is located on the property of the North Fork Nursery.

"It's sad," Jamesport resident Tom Williams said. "You hate to see anybody get killed."

Gowan, a home health aide, was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, where he died.

Police say Quarrie frequently changes her appearance, including using fake names and wigs to disguise her true identity.

The twist in the case has intrigued some people.

"It seems sort of strange," one Jamesport resident said. "I want to dive into it a little bit more."

Investigators say a warrant is out for her arrest on a second degree murder charge.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to Quarrie's arrest.
