Police have arrested a man they say stabbed another man in the arm on the Orchard Beach boardwalk.

The incident happened on Sunday evening just before 8 p.m. at the Section 7 area of the Orchard Beach boardwalk. Police sources say that the victim, a 35-year-old man, got into an argument with the stabber’s girlfriend. It is unclear if the three knew each other.

Melvin Ramos, 39, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.

The victim was taken to NYC Health+Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.
