Along the shoreline, a cooling sea breeze will keep temperatures mainly in the 70s. With the UV index running high, be sure to use sunscreen and take precautions if you'll be spending extended time outdoors.

Tonight will feature partly cloudy skies and comfortable conditions. Temperatures will fall back into the 50s and 60s overnight. Some patchy fog may develop toward daybreak, especially in areas that typically see reduced visibility during the early morning hours.

Friday brings another warm and mainly sunny day. Expect plenty of sunshine through much of the day before a few afternoon clouds drift in. High temperatures will once again reach the 80s inland, while shoreline communities stay in the 70s. Northwestern Nassau County could flirt with 87 to 92 degrees during the warmest part of the afternoon.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday features a mix of sun and clouds with continued warm weather. Tracking the threat of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms between 7pm and midnight. Highs will reach the 80s inland and remain in the 70s along the coast, with western Nassau County locations potentially reachign the low 90s. By Sunday, clouds will increase during the afternoon as a weather system approaches. Expect partly sunny skies with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms developing later in the day. Temperatures will be a bit lower, ranging from the upper 70s to low 80s.
