Western Connecticut will remain in a deep freeze with more sub-zero wind chills on the way.
This will keep temperatures well below normal for the next few days. Temperatures heading into the morning will range from the single numbers to near 10 degrees, but with the winds, it will feel more like 5 to 10 degrees below zero. Remember to dress for these cold temperatures and cover all exposed skin when going outside. Protect the pets as well.
There is still the potential for a storm over the weekend. A strong coastal storm will develop off the Southeastern coast on Saturday. There is the potential for strong winds and even some snow in Connecticut if this low comes close enough to the tri-state area. It's still too early for specific impacts due to the wide spread in modeled solutions.
