WHAT TO KNOW
A warm and increasingly humid stretch is ahead, with summerlike temperatures building through the end of the week and into the weekend. Sunshine dominates today before a more unsettled pattern develops Wednesday and Thursday as scattered showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast.
Despite a few interruptions from storms midweek, the overall trend stays hot with highs climbing well into the 80s by Friday and through the weekend. Some locations could flirt with 90 degrees by Sunday before another chance for showers arrives early next week.
Today: Bright sunshine and warm conditions with highs ranging from the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy and more humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing, especially later in the day. Highs in the low to mid-80s.
Thursday: Partly sunny, warm, and somewhat muggy with the chance for an afternoon thunderstorm. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Friday: Mostly sunny and turning hotter with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, hot, and humid with highs in the upper 80s.
Sunday: Another very warm day with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.
Monday: Partly sunny with the chance for scattered showers. Slightly cooler with highs in the low 80s.
