To keep their skills sharp, the team vigorously trains.
In an exclusive with News 12, the team participated in a sonar exercise and made targets for objects under water.
The troops' most recent efforts were in collaboration with Southampton Bay Constables and police to recover two victims who went missing while kayaking, as News 12 had previously reported.
The underwater recovery team is proud to be a part of a historic moment and serve the community and provide a safety net for those who love the water.
