Temperatures were cold this morning - in the 20s in many parts of the state, introducing a sharp cold that we'll have to get used to as the winter season approaches. Highs today will rebound to near 60 if not in the upper 50s, thanks to a southwesterly wind.
Rain arrives near 9 p.m. tonight and wraps up by 6 a.m. Saturday morning. Saturday will be fair with a generally sunny sky. Highs will be in the mid-60s. Clouds return overnight into Sunday where it will be mostly cloudy to overcast on Sunday. Rain arrives by noon and showers persist on and off throughout the day.
A storm system is developing over New England, which is why the rain on Sunday won't be steady or "organized" in any particular part of New Jersey. These nuisance rain showers combined (Sat & Sun) can total to about 0.75 inch of rainfall by the end of the weekend. Monday will be breezy with sun and clouds.
