A man is now in custody after police say a teenager was slashed inside a Borough Park synagogue.
Investigators say officers responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed person at a synagogue on 54th Street Monday night.
According to the NYPD, a 22-year-old man used a sharp object to slash a 14-year-old boy.
The suspect was taken into custody. The teen refused medical attention.
Police say both the suspect and victim are members of the synagogue, and the suspect is from Staten Island and often visits local synagogues.
