Four Connecticut residents are facing charges after police say they took part in a street takeover on Long Island.

Authorities say the incident happened around 1 a.m. Sunday on the Long Island Expressway.

Police allege vehicles were racing and participating in a street takeover that disrupted traffic.

Investigators say video of the event was later posted online.

Officers eventually stopped a truck towing a trailer carrying a race car.

Four people were arrested and charged.

Police also impounded the truck, trailer and race car as part of the investigation.
