The workweek gets off to an unsettled start. There are chances of storms during the overnight hours and on Tuesday.
A round of showers and thunderstorms are possible into the early parts of Tuesday before they taper off. There will be a lull in showers and thunderstorms for part of the daytime on Tuesday, which will allow sun to peek through and temperatures to shoot up into the upper 80s and low 90s. There could also be additional rounds of scattered thunderstorms heading into the afternoon and evening. The News 12 Storm Watch Team is keeping an eye on the potential for strong-to-damaging gusts and downpours that could briefly impact visibility and driving and walking conditions due to isolated flash flooding. There is some lingering rain chance into Tuesday night, but the storm risk should end by midnight.
The good news? The rest of the week looks great. Temperatures stay consistent in the mid- to upper 80s. There will be plenty of sunshine for Wednesday through Friday.
