Clouds will clear as we head into the overnight, offering a bright and cheerful beginning to the fifth month of the year. May will start with abundant sunshine and breezy conditions with gusts between 20-30 mph. We could see a few very late stray showers after 9 p.m.-- so if you're out and about enjoying your Friday night you might run into some brief rain.

Light showers are possible as we head into the weekend-- as a coastal storm makes its way near us, but stays far enough away to avoid major impacts. Light showers are possible overnight Friday and during the second half of Saturday. Sunday will be cool and drier as well.
