Have the rain gear with you for the next couple of days with off and on rain today before steadier rain tonight through tomorrow.
The rain, breezy and colder feeling weather that we have been highlighting for several days is here! The worst of our local impacts will be scattered ponding of water, especially tonight and tomorrow along with needing to dress warmer for the breezy and chilly conditions.
Please just take it a little bit slower than normal when traveling. Much of the rain today will be scattered and light to moderate. The rain becomes steadier tonight through mid-afternoon tomorrow and it will be paired with scattered wind gusts near 30 mph and high temperatures only in the low to mid-50s.
There will be slow improvements into Memorial Day weekend. Those details are below!
FORECAST:
TODAY: STORM WATCH — Cloudy with rain developing. Rain will be light to moderate and intermittent through the day. Breezy and feeling cool to say the least! High temperatures will be in the low to mid-50s. Wind: east-southeast around five to 15 mph with some wind gusts a bit over 20 mph.
TONIGHT: STORM WATCH — Periods of rain, heavy at times. Scattered ponding of water is possible. Breezy and chilly. Lows around 46 degrees.
THURSDAY: STORM WATCH -- Cloudy with a steady, moderate rain during the morning through mid-afternoon. Scattered ponding of water is to be expected, but otherwise just messy and wet travel weather. A bit windy and chilly. Scattered wind gusts 20 to 35 mph. Highs around 52 degrees. Rain totals between Wednesday and Thursday will be around one to two inches on average.
FRIDAY: LINGERING SHOWERS — Partly sunny to mostly cloudy with a few spotty lingering rain showers possible. Not a washout. Still feeling cool, but a little better. Highs around 59 degrees. Lows near 48 degrees.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND:
SATURDAY: Partly sunny. Highs around 64 degrees. A spotty shower cannot be ruled out, but keep the outdoor plans. Lows near 49 degrees.
SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs around 69 degrees. Lows near 52 degrees.
MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY: Partly sunny. Highs around 71 degrees. Slight chance for a passing late-day rain shower, but keep the outdoor plans. Much of the day will be dry. Lows near 54 degrees.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers possible. Highs around 68 degrees. Lows near 52 degrees.
