Soaking rain overnight and into Thursday

Brighter and warmer weather for the holiday weekend.

FORECAST:
The forecast takes a rainy and breezy turn now and through the next few days. The rain tonight will be moderate to heavy late and into Thursday.
Thursday morning's commute will feature steady rain. Roads will be wet, and temperatures will be cool. Lows in the morning start out in the upper 40s. Winds will be out of the east 15-20 mph with gusts up to about 30 mph. The wind-driven rain hits hardest early tomorrow before tapering to lighter rain later in the day.
Temperatures will stay chilly with onshore winds; highs will only warm into the lower to middle 50s. The winds will gradually turn to the Northeast and then north by Thursday night.
Friday will feature clouds with some showers later in the day. Temperatures will rise to near 60. They really don't warm up until we see more sunshine, which will happen Saturday.
The Memorial Day weekend will feature some sunshine, but also cloudy moments. The warmest temperatures will develop on Monday.
