What began as a car chase ended in the water in Milford, police say.
Officers say they observed a stolen gray Ford Escape from Seymour traveling on New Haven Avenue Thursday night.
They followed the car into a parking lot where the driver and rear passenger, both juveniles, were detained but one passenger fled toward Wilcox Park.
Police located the suspect using a drone and followed the suspect into Milford Harbor, swimming to a boat.
Officers say they borrowed a rowboat and rowed out to the suspect where he was taken into custody without further incident.
The suspect was identified as Robert Cortina, 18, of Naugatuck.
All three offenders were charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.
Cortina was also charged with interfering and was released after posting $5,000 bond.
