A man from Port Jervis will serve 13 years in prison for kidnapping and assaulting a woman, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Francisco Cellabos-Rosario, 44, pleaded guilty, the DA says.
Prosecutors say the victim woke up to him attempting to have sex with her, then beating her and forced her out of her home at knifepoint. He then made her drive before dragging her from the car and continuing the assault until a bystander called police.
He will also serve five years of post-release supervision due to a prior kidnapping conviction, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
