A bomb threat was called into Garden City district office for Rep. Anthony D'Esposito, according to a spokesperson for the congressman.
Nassau County and Garden City police were called and notified U.S. Capitol Police.
        Police evacuated both buildings.
The spokesperson from the congressman's office says D'Esposito was not in the building at the time of the incident. They said he is on Long Island and has been moved to a more secure location as a precaution.
"It has been happening with greater frequency recently," said Rep. D'Esposito's communications director Matt Capp. "We had another incident this week with a threat called into the office which we also reported to the police. And honestly it seems to be increasing in number so we're just making sure we take these threats seriously."
Everyone has since been allowed back into the building.
Police say nothing suspicious was found.
