A person accused of shocking animal cruelty in West Babylon has been able to avoid investigators for three months and now Suffolk County police are asking for any witnesses to make an arrest.
Suffolk County police said someone threw two cats out of their car window while they were driving along Montauk Highway near the intersection of Fleets Point Drive on June 17, around 9 a.m.
Investigators said the person was in a sedan traveling westbound.
Another passing driver struck and killed one of the cats. The other was rushed to a veterinarian, treated and survived.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
