Route 9 has reopened in Woodbridge after downed utility poles and wires shut down a portion of the highway Monday night.
Officials say the damage was caused by a weather-related crash overnight, involving a mid-size SUV striking a utility pole. Snowy weather caused roads to be slippery Monday night in New Jersey.
The crash caused wires to come down, pulling down another utility pole, and resulted in the closure of Route 9 North near West Pond Lane and a portion of Route 9 South.
No injuries were reported. PSE&G officials say outages were minimal, affecting only some small businesses.
