New proposed rules are making sure drivers pay their part in the new congestion pricing plan.
The policy that is now charging drivers $9 to enter lower Manhattan took effect over the weekend.
City officials say reckless drivers are already on their radar and that they will be found and held accountable.
New proposed rules warn drivers of the following:
        • Plates must be properly displayed
        • Covers that restrict access to the vehicle while parked are prohibited
        • License plates must not be obstructed by any part of the vehicle
A public hearing on these proposed rules will be held in February.
