The Connecticut Department of Transportation says that Route 113 on Main Street is expected to reopen on Jan. 24.
The road was closed for weeks and was under construction to “permanently” fix intermittent flooding issues.
The DOT said a cofferdam system was installed to keep the road clear of water.
They said flooding in the road area is common due to the road being built on top of wetlands.
Officials say they will continue to monitor the road in the future.
