A serious crash is causing road closures in Garrison, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

They say Route 9 is closed between Route 403 and Heritage Drive, which is in the area of Old Highland Turnpike. Officials say the road will remain closed for an extended period of time.

The sheriff's office also says that multiple cars were involved in the crash.
