A wicked warmup this way comes. Record temps we all might hum.
There will be serious warmth for Halloween but unfortunately, rain is yet to be seen. The latest guidance is backing away from a statewide rainfall early Friday morning.
Wednesday marked the 31st consecutive day of dry weather across most of New Jersey. Right now, our wet weather hopes are pinned to a weak system approaching from the west very early Friday morning.
As has been the case with these systems, showers either ride up and over or stay to our south. The guidance is coming around again to this type of solution. If Newark Liberty were to see a shower, I am expecting no more than 0.02 inches - by no means a drought-busting rain event.
Halloween is going to be hot - possibly record-breaking. Eighty-two degrees in 1946 is the temperature that will likely be tied or broken on Thursday. Even after the sun sets, the temps will be on the warm side of seasonable. Make sure the little ones stay hydrated while out trick-or-treating.
While the wet weather may fizzle Friday morning, yet another round of autumnal air will be waiting for us for the weekend.
Both Saturday and Sunday looked lovely with sunshine and temperatures in the upper-50s and low-60s.
