Around 100 people showed up to march, pray and show their support for the Ukrainian people amid their ongoing war with invading Russian forces.
Janet Keyes, with St. James Episcopal Church, said the message of the march was clear:
"To bring awareness, to show the people of Ukraine that we're here with them, and that we're supporting them in every way we can."
On Feb. 24, 2022, Russian forces invaded Ukraine. Over three years later, and the conflict is still unresolved.
Event organizers collected donations that will go toward United 24 and Razom for Ukraine.
According to Keyes, this is the second rally her church has held in solidarity with Ukrainians. The first was almost three years ago when the Russian invasion occurred.
"We are a little tiny town, a little dot in Northern Westchester – but we have big hearts," said Keyes.
