We're tracking a chance for snow showers this afternoon and evening on the Island from a coastal storm several hundred miles off the coast. Minor accumulations are possible from 1 p.m. to midnight with the highest totals under 0.5 inches. For most of us, it's a quiet day with cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper-20s. The wind is not as strong today as it was yesterday with wind speeds generally 10 mph.
Windy weather returns overnight with gusts 20-30 mph through Friday. Wind chills will be in the single digits on Friday morning and the teens on Friday afternoon, but sunny skies will return. High temperatures are only in the low-30s.
The weekend looks pleasant. Highs are in the mid-30s on Saturday and reach the 40s on Sunday with sunshine.
Next week is the last week of the month, and it looks like the best! High temperatures will be in the mid- to upper-40s with generally dry conditions. There is a chance for a few rain showers on Tuesday or early Wednesday, but winter weather conditions are not expected for at least the next seven days, but the end of next week is a bit more unsettled.
