Frigid again with spotty light snow showers this afternoon and evening

A few slippery spots will also be possible through this evening from off-and-on light snow and flurries from around 1-9 p.m. with little accumulation.

The lower Hudson Valley is still locked into this bitterly cold weather through tomorrow. Improvements are on the way this weekend though! Use some caution traveling this afternoon and evening. While we will not see major snow, spotty light snow showers and flurries can still slicken up untreated areas. The air overhead is very dry, so it will take a bit for these light snow showers to reach the ground. They will this afternoon and can linger off and on through mid-evening. A coating to at worst around 0.5 inches of snow is possible.
Tomorrow will be another day with a frigid feel! High temperatures reach the low-30s, but the wind picks up tonight with gusts near 30 mph at times through Friday. This means that wind chills tomorrow will once again be in the teens at best.
        WEEKEND IMPROVEMENTS!
While Saturday will still feel chilly, it is less windy with high temperatures around 39 degrees. This will feel much better than a lot of this week has felt. Sunday is the day with more seasonable temperatures around the low-40s. The entire weekend will also be dry!
        MILD WEEK AHEAD
The final week of February will finally feature above-average temperatures for several days! Highs will jump into the mid- and upper-40s Monday through Thursday. There will be some mostly rain shower chances Tuesday and Wednesday, but unlikely to be washouts. There is the chance for rain or a wintry mix by the end of next week, but there is a good chance that it is more wet than wintry.
Have a great Thursday and stay warm!
